Our Mission

Badger Computer Services has always focused on technical services as its core market. We aim to provide clients with solutions to any of their business issues involving computers and their use in the workplace.

Our view is that businesses can benefit greatly from the use of IT but only if the systems in place are appropriate for their needs, the equipment functions as it should, and the users are empowered and encouraged to make full use of it.

We are here to help keep the office workplace efficient, comfortable and harmonious and this is achieved by several means:

Appropriate investment

Our clients call us for free help and advice on upgrading and enhancing their computer systems to keep them competitive in their business. There should be a clear return on investment to justify the business case. It is important that any solutions are also easy to use, to minimise employee stress. We do not want to sell solutions, which are inappropriate to a client's current and future needs.

Ergonomics and user comfort

The workplace should be ergonomically planned so that the computer users are comfortable and relaxed in their work. This may take the form of suitable desking, seating, air conditioning and heating, positioning of monitors to avoid screen glare from windows or lighting, avoidance of trip hazards from loose cables etc. Equally important is training and encouragement so that the users feel confident in performing their work safe in the knowledge that friendly help is at hand should things go wrong. The equipment itself also needs protecting from excessive heat, electrical interference or accidental damage and we help business management in office layout to optimise conditions.

Backup

Systems will also need protection from other hazards such as viruses, attack by hackers, thieves and such. The data should be fully backed up to protect against physical catastrophe such as spontaneous equipment failure, fire, flood etc. It is part of our role to advise on systems and procedures to protect against all risks.
