Badger Computer Services supply engineering expertise
under a range of schemes:
Ad hoc services
We have teams of engineers who are available to
deal with one-off incidents on an hourly rate of £75 per hour on
site. There may be a charge for call-out depending on location and
the rapidity of response you require.
Technician services
Mainly of use to schools, this service provides
a regular visit of perhaps half a day per week to take care of routine
maintenance issues and to tackle small non-critical breakdowns.
Support and maintenance cover
This agreement provides comprehensive breakdown
cover for your equipment and covers replacement parts and temporary
loan equipment where possible. The agreement allows you to call
our technical support staff at any time during normal office hours
for help with operational issues or as a first line attempt to rectify
problems. We can also set up a remote link through the internet
whereby you can dial in to us so that we can take temporary control
of your system from our offices to rectify configuration issues.
If these means fail to sort out the problem an engineer will be
assigned to deal with the problem on site.
We aim to be flexible in our response. This means
that if, for instance, you are experiencing a minor difficulty that
you can live with but still get your work done, we may ask you to
wait a little before we get to you. If your network is down or for
some other reason you are in a critical situation we will respond
immediately. Our clients prefer this approach rather than a standard
4 or 8-hour callout. It involves an element of trust and understanding
between us as we leave it to you to decide how urgent your situation
is.
Advice and guidance on future developments
This is normally given freely either by phone or
by personal visit. We encourage you to use us as a sounding board
for your ideas. If the project will involve us in extensive research
we may charge for our consultancy by agreement.
